Anti-Harassment Policy
2023年5月27日
This policy outlines the principles that guide the creative activities of Theatre Unit QD.
Theatre Unit QD is committed to respecting the dignity, individuality, and voices of all individuals involved in our work—including unit members, directors, cast, crew, and collaborators—and does not tolerate any form of harassment.
What is harassment?
Harassment refers to any behaviour—regardless of the perpetrator’s intent—that causes discomfort, disadvantage, or harm to another person’s dignity, particularly through comments or actions related to individual attributes or personal identity.
Such attributes may include, but are not limited to: gender, age, religion, social background, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical characteristics, or sexuality.
Examples of harassment include:
Sexual Harassment
- Unwelcome sexual behaviour or conduct of a sexual nature.
Power Harassment
- Acts of violence, excessive workload, or abusive and intimidating language or behaviour stemming from a position of authority.
To prevent harassment
At the initial meeting for each production, we will thoroughly inform everyone about this policy and the consultation desk.
We will also confirm that all parties involved fully understand the following points.
-
Respect each other's personalities, beliefs, and faiths.
-
In the creative process, everyone is an essential member of the team.
-
There may be differences in the perception of behaviour based on individual circumstances or positions.
-
Whether an action constitutes harassment depends on the recipient's judgment.
-
Even if an action is intended as friendly, it may cause discomfort to the recipient.
-
Perceptions of behaviour vary from person to person, so do not assume that the recipient will tolerate the actions.
-
If the recipient refuses or expresses discomfort, do not repeat the same behaviour.
-
The absence of explicit communication from the other party does not mean that the behaviour does not constitute discrimination or harassment.
If you experience or witness harassment
At Theatre Unit QD, we provide an anonymous reporting form for concerns related to harassment. If you are unsure whether a situation constitutes harassment, you are still encouraged to use the form without hesitation.
Anonymous Harassment Reporting Form
Submissions to this form are made publicly accessible to ensure transparency and accountability among all parties involved.
When a report is submitted, our top priority is to safeguard the mental and physical well-being of the affected individual. We will promptly assess the situation and take appropriate steps to address and improve it.
There are also external consultation services available, so please utilise them as well.
