If you have any inquiries or questions, please feel free to contact us using the form on the right.  

We accept requests for various types of projects, including musical productions, scripts, music, and other creative endeavours.

For those wishing to stage Theatre Unit QD pieces

< Application Process > 

  1. Please submit your application via the form below.

  2. We aim to respond within one week. Should you not receive a reply after two weeks, kindly check your spam folder and contact us again. Provided your application is complete, we will send you the calculated performance licence fee. We may need to contact you multiple times during the process.

  3. You will be required to complete and sign the contract.

  4. Please pay the performance licence fee by the due date (10 days from contract conclusion).

  5. We will provide the script, sheet music, and karaoke backing track (where applicable) in digital format.

< Important Notes >
 

  1. When staging the work, clearly state the names of the playwright and composer alongside the unit name on posters, flyers, other distributed materials, and online performance information.

  2. Do not revise the work without the creators' permission when staging it. If you wish to make revisions, obtain prior consent from Theatre Unit QD and clearly state the nature of the revisions on posters, flyers, other distributed materials, and online performance information.

  3. Prior to authorisation (including while the performance licence application is pending), no announcements whatsoever shall be made, including via distribution materials or social media.

  4. A performance licence fee must be paid. The regulations are as follows

    1. For free performances or school theatre productions where no admission fee or equivalent charge is collected in any form: ¥10,000 per stage

    2. For performances with admission fees, donations, or other subsidies, with a budget scale of approximately ¥5 million or less: ¥10,000~ per stage, calculated according to the scale of the performance.

    3. For performances with admission fees, donations, or other subsidies, with a budget scale of approximately ¥5 million or more: Approximately 5% of the total budget, not falling below ¥1 million. (From the Playwrights Association Guidelines)
